In light of the current global COVID-19 crisis, the Department of Education has announced that all schools will transit into digital instruction and learning commencing 20th April,2020.
Schools will utilize e-learning platforms and digital media to deliver educational content while students are at home. Below are some key COVID-19 response protocols established by the Department of Education:
- The third academic term will commence on 20th April, 2020. Students will continue their education from home.
- The term will focus on Digital Instruction and Learning which includes lessons being delivered via the Internet, radio and television broadcasts.
- The transition to Digital Education and Learning will continue with the support of several agencies and partners to accommodate students and teachers who lack connectivity.
- In the third term, no new concepts will be introduced. The term will be spent consolidating topics which ere introduced during the first and second terms.
